Raja Mukhtar Ahmad Sagharvi, son of Raja Syed Rasool, was born on July 16, 1954, in the village of Saghri. He holds master’s degrees in Urdu and Education (M.Ed). He began his professional career as a teacher on October 1, 1975, and served with dedication in various educational institutions, including Government Middle School Saghri, Government Middle School Jalwaal, Government High School Chura Sharif, Government High School Saghri, Government Higher Secondary School Nara, Government Higher Secondary School Shadi Khan, and Government High School Domel.
In addition to his teaching services, he also performed several important administrative duties, such as Assistant Education Officer (AEO) in Pindi Gheb (1991) and Jand (1992), Deputy District Education Officer (DDEO) in Jand (1996), District Education Officer (Secondary) in 2008, and Additional Executive District Officer (Education) in 2009. He retired honorably on July 15, 2014.
Raja Mukhtar Ahmad Sagharvi performed Umrah in 2009 and 2018, and also visited Iran, Iraq, and Syria for ziyarat (pilgrimage).
As a writer and poet, he has made a valuable contribution to Urdu literature. His published works include a travelogue titled Asfar-e-Muqaddas (2024) and a poetry collection Yehi Kamai Hai (2025), both of which reflect his deep spiritual insight and literary elegance.
