Malik Imtiaz Sagar is a distinguished Seraiki (Punjabi) poet hailing from the village of Rodah Sharif, located in Tehsil Paharpur, near Dera Ismail Khan in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Deeply rooted in the cultural and social fabric of his region, Sagar has spent many years expressing the emotions and struggles of common people through his poetry.
Born to Malik Alam Sher Dhap, he inherited a strong connection to traditional values and rural life, which profoundly shaped his poetic voice. His work reflects themes of love, social injustice, poverty, and deprivation—issues that resonate deeply with the lived experiences of marginalized communities.
Sagar’s poetic collection “Kambel” stands as a significant contribution to contemporary Seraiki literature. Originally published in hardcover by Urdu Sukhan Publisher (Pakistan), the book has received appreciation for its emotional depth, simplicity of language, and powerful portrayal of human conditions.
Now, “Kambel” is being introduced in digital format as an eBook, making it accessible to a wider global audience. This transition marks an important step in preserving and promoting regional literature in the digital age.
Through his words, Malik Imtiaz Sagar not only tells stories but also gives voice to the unheard, making his poetry both socially relevant and emotionally compelling.
